Hi, I’m Zack Conquer.
I'm a ceramic artist based in San Francisco. I make dishware, drinkware, servingware, and custom objects — wheel-thrown, hand-built, and slip-cast in porcelain.
My work has been shown in Architectural Digest, and I'm a board member at Ruby's Clay Studio & Gallery, a nonprofit community art studio.
After some early experience with clay as a young adult, I took a long hiatus and built a 16-year career in business: co-founding a web design firm, helping open the first full-time standup comedy club in mainland China (later acquired by LiveNation), and as an operations leader in a technology consultancy.
In 2022, I made the decision to come back to ceramics deliberately and, it turned out, fully.
In the past four years, I've built a professional practice that includes:
Refined wheel-thrown and hand-built functional ware
Plaster mold making and slip-cast porcelain production
Custom dishware sets for interior design commissions
Wholesale fabrication for other artists and designers
I fire all of my own work — using both electric and gas kilns, primarily firing in reduction to cone 10.
